King Seven Records — Home of Push Music
King Seven Records is an independent record label founded by Amir “King Seven” Shakur — music producer, composer, audio engineer, and the acknowledged Father of Push Music. Built on a single belief — that real music pushes the culture forward — the label is the home of Push Music: Shakur’s signature sound fusing the deeply organic warmth of Neo-Soul, the modern edge of Nu-Soul, and the sophisticated harmonic language of Jazz.
From the studio console to the stage, King Seven Records pairs warm analog textures, crisp percussion, and intricate chord voicings with meticulous modern production. Every release is crafted to move the listener — music built on emotion, rhythm, and timeless musicality, made by artists who refuse to follow formulas.
Rooted in Chicago’s South Side and releasing worldwide, King Seven Records champions independent art that stays true to authenticity, depth, and cultural substance. Its sister label is Soul America International Records. This is where soul meets the future — one frequency at a time.
