Subject: The Fragility of the “Fix” _The Chaos of a Rough Administration

The Illusion of Peace

They told us the ceasefires were the victory. Last week, the headlines were draped in the golden promise of a “New Global Order,” as the administration took credit for silencing the guns from the Steppes of Ukraine to the Persian Gulf. But look at your screens today, May 12th. The ink wasn’t even dry before the “massive life support” alarm started wailing.

In Ukraine, the three-day silence has been shattered by a fresh wave of strikes. In Iran, the diplomatic “garbage” pile is growing higher as naval blockades remain tightened like a noose. We are watching a masterclass in the difference between transactional ego and transformative peace. You cannot demand a world bow to your “personal chemistry” while the fundamental hunger for justice and sovereignty goes ignored.

“A ceasefire without a soul is just a pause to reload.”

The Cracks in the Foundation

While the world’s leaders play a high-stakes game of chicken with global oil prices and AI bubbles, look at what’s happening in our own backyard. Here in Chicago, we’re breaking ground on multi-billion dollar transit lines and soccer stadiums—monuments to progress built on a floor of “M&A” deals and federal funding battles.

We are obsessed with the Build, but we have forgotten the Being.

We see it in the markets today:

The AI Mirage: Global shares are dipping because we’ve gambled our entire economic future on a “tiny cluster” of tech giants.

The Health Scare: A hantavirus outbreak on a cruise ship has staff in quarantine, reminding us that for all our “border security” talk, nature doesn’t carry a passport.

The Human Cost: As the UK’s Labour party collapses under the weight of local defeats, we see the same old story—leaders who have lost the frequency of the people they claim to represent.

The Route 66 Reality

Today, communities are celebrating the centennial of Route 66. They call it the “Mother Road.” It’s a nostalgic nod to an era where we actually moved toward one another. But as we look at the state of our world on this Tuesday in May, I have to ask: Which road are we actually on?

Are we on the road to a genuine global community, or are we just idling in a traffic jam of our own making, waiting for the next “strongman” to tell us when to go?

The word for today is Vigilance. Do not be hypnotized by the “deals” made in high-rise offices or foreign capitals. Real peace isn’t a press release; it’s the quiet work of building a world where a ceasefire isn’t “on life support” because the life of the people is actually valued.

Stay awake. Stay loud. Peace and Respect!!
